Nice Ironman 2017

On July 23rd 2017, thousands of athletes will be on the departure of the famous Nice Ironman. Like every year, the city of Nice welcomes the extreme triathlon which attracts athletes from all around the world, more than fifty nationalities being represented on this Ironman race.
Triathletes, hardly trained, will swim from the departure at the Plage du Centenaire in the conquest of the Mediterranean Sea for 3,8 kilometers of swimming. They will get out of the water for the bike transition to cover 180km in the hilly hinterland of Nice and they will go, in particular, through Gourdon, elected “most beautiful village in France”. To finish, athletes will put their running shoes for a marathon on the famous Promenade des Anglais with a view on the sea and hundreds of crazy supporters along the entire race in Nice.

An evidence that this event is significant is that the city of Nice has even been chosen to welcome the Ironman world championship in 2019 ! While waiting for it, we advise you to come and to confront yourself to this grueling track.

The Ironman requires a physical and mental preparation, as well as a lot of organization and patience.
